Sunday morning in Paramaribo is a world of its own. While the city is still slowly waking up, the markets are already in full swing. Traders setting up stalls, the sound of songbirds, the smell of fresh fruit and fried snacks. In five hours this tour takes you along the most colourful markets in the city, each with its own character and its own story. This is Paramaribo as the people who live here know it.

- Chinese Market Paramaribo — stalls full of vegetables, fruit and meat, where local families stock up for the week. Lively, busy and completely ordinary all at once.
- Saoenah Market, the Javanese market — you smell the ketjap and hear the gamelan music long before you arrive. Javanese snacks, clothing, jewellery and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while.
- Flea market — a quick round past a mixed bag of second-hand goods, curiosities and surprises. You never know what you'll find.
- Orchid Market Paramaribo — the last stop is the calm counterweight to everything before it. Surinamese orchids and ornamental plants, laid out with care by people who've made it their life's work.

Een markt voor proeverijen. Heerlijke javaanse en authentieke gerechten. Snacks als drankjes. Wel erg gericht op de toeristen maar er hangt een gezellige sfeer. Ook vele verse ingrediënten te vinden. Let wel op de prijzen en kijk vooral rond en vergelijk. Verder erg gezellig!
