Family Suite Amalia & Alexia
For up to 4 people
Suriname is a country you discover together, and for that you need space. The Family Suite Amalia & Alexia gives you exactly that. Two separate rooms, a light sitting area and tall front windows that let the daylight pour in. On the first floor of a colonial building in downtown Paramaribo, where the city waits outside but the quiet stays in.
The suite has two bedrooms, one with a queen size boxspring bed and one with two single beds, which makes it well suited to families or a group wanting a little more privacy. The sitting room with its smart TV is where the day starts and ends. The spacious shower and toilet are on the ground floor, and bathrobes are provided for that extra bit of comfort. Minibar, air conditioning and reliable wifi are all there.
Breakfast is available at €15 per person. On Sundays we serve no breakfast, but that's precisely the day the Sunday market is calling. Fresh local dishes, stalls full of colour and the whole city out on the street. See our Sunday market tour.

Grietjebie tip
Take your coffee out to the balcony first thing. The garden wakes up before the street does, and for a few minutes you'd never guess you were in the middle of the city.

Reviews
This renovated colonial residence has three suites and loads of character. The top suite was perfect for our family of four. The lovely garden with pool and plenty of shade from a large mango tree was a great place to hang out on a hot day. The hosts are fantastic, I really cannot think of anything they could have done to make our stay better. Best of all, Prins Hendrik Suites is within a stones throw of the centre of Paramaribo and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Villa Claus-Casimir, colonial style
You don't have to choose between being in the city and sleeping well. At Villa Claus-Casimir you get both. This colonial-style villa sits in the middle of downtown Paramaribo, within walking distance of the best restaurants and bars in the city, and yet the moment the gate closes behind you it's as if the world pauses for a while.

Eloise
Eloise isn't a hotel room. It's a place of your own, an apartment where you wake at your own pace, make coffee in your own kitchen and unwind in the evening on a quiet back terrace. Meanwhile downtown Paramaribo is right around the corner, with the best restaurants and bars within walking distance.
