Economy Room
In the heart of historic Paramaribo — for 2 to 3 people
In the middle of the bustle of historic Paramaribo there's a place where things suddenly go quiet. Greenheart Boutique Hotel is a four-star eco-hotel built entirely of Surinamese hardwood, with fourteen rooms that each tell their own story. What matters here is real comfort without the dressing up: a cool saltwater pool, a library to disappear into, a breakfast restaurant and Woody's Pub — all within the same wooden walls.
The Economy Room is the smart choice for anyone who wants the hotel without giving up the atmosphere. A comfortable room with a queen size bed for two, or the shipbuilder's layout with beds on two levels for three to four guests. There's an Economy Family Room option here too: an extra sleeping level for one adult or one to two children. All the hotel's facilities, just as close.
What's in the room
- Queen size bed, or shipbuilder's layout with beds on two levels for 3 guests

Grietjebie tip
Take a book from the library down to the saltwater pool and let the afternoon go. You're in the middle of Paramaribo and you can barely hear the city. That's the charm of this house.

Een heel leuk boutique hotel met veel privacy en de balkons en zitjes zijn ook erg leuk om even te ontspannen. Ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en personeel is heel behulpzaam. Zwembad is heerlijk.

Paramaribo by bicycle
The bike tour through Paramaribo is the quickest way to really get to know the UNESCO-protected city centre. Not from a minibus, but on two wheels, through the streets themselves. In three and a half hours an experienced local guide rides you past the high points of this remarkable city. No big crowd, a maximum of eight people per guide. You notice the difference.

Along the plantations of Commewijne
Just across the bridge lies another world. Commewijne isn't a place that shouts for attention, it whispers. Along the river, between the old plantations and the cecropia trees, this district tells a story of power, labour, sugar and survival. It's not a long drive from Paramaribo. But you come back from it a little different than you went.
