There are restaurants you go to for the food. And there are places you go to for the feeling. Eethuis LIV is both. A snug little restaurant on the Brumastraat in Paramaribo, where chef Gregory Lehman cooks everything himself — with care, with patience, and with the flavours Suriname is known for.
The menu changes daily. What's on the table depends on what came in fresh, what the season is giving, and what Gregory Lehman found his inspiration in that morning. Creole dishes, signature plates and homemade specials — from the bang bang fish to the butter cookies guests keep coming back for. Every portion is generous, every flavour is honest.
No twenty-page menu. No crowds. No rush. Just a warm man behind the stove, cooking the way he'd cook for his own family. And you can taste it.

Vanmiddag een heerlijk lunch gehad bij Eethuis Liv, de sfeer bij binnenkomst was meteen super aangenaam. 3 gerechten hier besteld en stuk voor stuk waren ze super! Als je in Suriname bent moet je zeker een keer langskomen voor een hapje eten!

Echt een heerlijke plaats. Zowel op vlak van sfeer en personeel als van eten. In onze groep waren we met 3 mensen die vegetarisch aten en dat was echt geen probleem. We aten er heerlijk en werden bij binnenkomst familiaal verwelkomd door het personeel. Het is heel huiselijk ingericht en je voelt meteen de passie dat deze mensen hebben. We kregen dan ook uitleg en hulp bij het kiezen van ons eten. Echt een must do!!! P.S. het zuurwater en het awarra ijs zijn echt hele goede keuzes :))

Heerlijk gegeten bij Eethuis Liv! Het eten was superlekker en de service was uitstekend. Kok Gregory kwam zelfs persoonlijk langs om te vragen of alles naar wens was, wat wij enorm waardeerden. Echt gastvrij en betrokken. Zeker een aanrader, wij komen graag terug!
